Published: Wednesday 20th Nov 2019 by Rashad

With a star-studded guest list that features the likes of T.I., Tory Lanez, Quavo, Young Thug, Gunna, and more, November 8th saw R&B star Jacquees take his sophomore album to chart battle.

Seeking to prove once and for all he is indeed the genre’s leading male monarch, the LP – titled ‘King of R&B’ – serves as the follow-up to the 25-year-old’s 2018 debut effort, ‘4275.’ Originally titled ‘Round 2’ and slated for a July 2019 release, the self-proclaimed potentate quietly let the first due date pass but stunned fans last week with the unexpected announcement of its official delivery date (click here to read more).

That album cover is so ugly, he is ugly

    A decent flop

The men in rnb are not doing anything innovative or new compared to the women in rnb

Summer walker album still in the top 10
H.e.r racking up grammy nominations today

Actually it’s true. The women of R&B are currently bringing the heat and new interesting stuff. While the men havent evolved since the 90ies. Nearly every male r&b album sounds identical.

Damn…. so much for the KING of R&B…. Seeing the numbers Summer Walker did with a full out R&B album, I definitely expected more. R&B isn’t as dead as some think. His album isn’t spectacular at all though. He’s still a fairly new artist with a large core despite those who didn’t support lol. So he ca possibly rebound.

This is actually a major flop! 1000 copies sold? 16k total?. I could sell more bacon bits at a PETA convention.

    • Swirly November 21, 2019

You call 1,000 pure sales a large core? Considering the album title, those numbers are highly embarrassing. That’s not kingly s***, more like court jester.
